Dr. Joanna Mrowiec
Dr. Joanna Mrowiec, MD, PhD, graduated from the Pomeranian Medical Academy in Szczecin in 1991. She has been a certified orthodontic specialist since 1996 and obtained her Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 1997. She is also a graduate of the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw.
Dr. Mrowiec has been treating patients with clear aligner systems since 2003—making her one of the most experienced practitioners in this field in Poland. She possesses exceptional expertise in this area.
She trains doctors in this method through both certification courses and her own proprietary training programs.
She is a graduate of a two-year advanced course in functional occlusion (FACE – Functional and Cosmetic Excellence, Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists) and is a member of Face Poland.
In 2000, she founded the Astermed Orthodontic and Implantology Center, a practice she continues to develop through her vision, passion, and expertise. There, she focuses on interdisciplinary patient care, with particular emphasis on temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
She is also a lecturer at the University of Warsaw and the author of numerous recognized and widely cited publications in the field of orthodontics and interdisciplinary treatment of adult patients.
