A6 Mandibular Advancement

This case, led by Dr. Mercedes Revenaz, presents the interceptive treatment of an 8-year-old patient in mixed dentition with dentoalveolar crowding in both arches, a transverse discrepancy, anterior crossbite, and midline deviation. Using the Angel Aligner KID system, the treatment focused on early correction of occlusal discrepancies through arch expansion, coordination of both arches, and precise control of tooth and root movement. The initial phase included 20 aligners, followed by a refinement phase with 10 aligners to optimize alignment and occlusion. This proactive and minimally invasive approach supported proper dentofacial development while providing a comfortable, esthetic solution that encouraged patient compliance and a positive treatment experience.

In this case, led by Dr. Isabel Flores Allen, a 13-year-old patient with Class II Division 2 malocclusion and deep bite was treated using Angel Aligner A6 Mandibular Advancement. The protocol combined mandibular advancement, arch expansion, incisor intrusion, and refinement with Class II elastics, achieving functional bite correction and improved smile aesthetics in 10 months.

This case showcases an innovative approach to correcting lower jaw retrusion in growing patients using the Angel Aligner A6. The system combines orthopedic and orthodontic treatment into a single protocol, allowing simultaneous advancement of the lower jaw and alignment of teeth.
